AATA Conference in Washington, D.C.

Several MPS students and faculty members just returned from the 42nd Annual American Art Therapy Association Annual Conference.  This year’s conference, Mindfulness and Leadership in Art Therapy Practice, was held July 6-12 in Washington, D.C.

As in past years, our department reimburses MPS Art Therapy students for the cost of registering for the conference.  Students participated in workshops that included “Therapeutic Benefits of Contour Drawing Self-Portraiture,” and “Empowering Your Inner Presenter: How to Effectively Convey Your Expertise.”

Next year, the AATA Conference will be held July 9-13 in Savannah, GA.
