This past week, the MPS Art Therapy Department hosted a reception for the What Gives Me Hope…Sharing the creativity and hopes of the incarcerated population on Rikers Island exhibition in our 5th Floor Project Space. The daily weblog Gothamist has coverage of the exhibition here. The exhibition will be on view through Thursday, October 15.

Also, Multicultural Issues in Art Therapy instructor Val Sereno took her class to the Whitney Museum to see the Archibald Motley exhibition and speak with a museum educator about the work.
